After a game halted by lightning and another rained out, the Dark Horses finally got to play soccer Thursday night. However, they still haven’t scored. The good news is, Whiteville didn’t score either and the game ended in a tie.

“It was pretty hard fought,” said assistant coach Jamie Williams, following the scoreless tie. “There was lots of midfield play.”

Clinton led 9-5 in shots on goal.

The junior varsity Dark Horse soccer team won 5-1. Ryan Taylor led the way with a hat trick and Wyman Faison scored the other two goals.

Clinton varsity team will play Wayne Country Day in Wilson today at 6 p.m.
