First-class learning
The second-graders at Harrells Christian Academy took a walk to the Harrells post office this week to mail some very important letters to the Alaskan North Pole. During the last few weeks, Jane Phillips’ students have studied all about the geography and special features of the North Pole in Alaska, including Santa’s workshop. They have also been learning about letter writing, punctuation and capitalization, so it was the perfect time to write to Santa Claus about their Christmas wishes. While at the post office, the postmaster explained the mailing process letting them know exactly what route their letters will take on the way to their destination, Santa’s workshop at the Alaskan North Pole.
