CLINTON — Mrs. Audrey Wilson Hartsoe, 83, of 24 Scott Place, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church with pastor Ron Davis and the Rev. Matthew Creech officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Mrs. Audrey was born in Trenton, on April 28, 1929 to Barney James and Etta Dale Chadwick Wilson. She and the love of her life, husband, James Hartsoe founded Hartsoe Printing Company which remained a prominent business in Clinton for nearly 40 years. She was a successful insurance agent with Mutual of Omaha for over 20 years and was a very proud member of the Clinton Garden Club for 35 years. She was an active member of The Gulls, which was a support group for families affected by alcoholism. She was a member of Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church for over 40 years and attended, until her health made it impossible to get out.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Ashley Audria Hartsoe, Amanda Hartsoe Williams, Jamie Dale Williams and husband, Adam; one grandson, Chadwick Butler Matthis and wife, Ashley; one great-grandson, Preston Chadwick Matthis; four sisters, Lucy W. Collier, Jewel W. Rylas, Jean W. Pugh and Polly W. Hope; one brother, Charles Roger Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney James and Etta Dale Chadwick Wilson; her husband, James J. Hartsoe; two daughters, Angela Hartsoe Matthis and Bonny Dale Hartsoe; one sister, Etta Wilson Connelly; four brothers, James, Robert, Gerald and William Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church, P O Box 349, Clinton, NC 28328.
