Lessons in Japenese culture
Tanner Kidd, East Carolina graduate and former Butler Avenue student, recently visited Lisa Turlington's third-grade class at Butler Avenue to share his expertise of the Japanese culture. Having recently traveled to Japan, Kidd delighted the children with artifacts, pictures, and examples of the Japanese language. The students learned some Japanese words and how to write their names in Japanese, Turlington said.
