CLINTON — Mr. Eddis C. Price, 83, of 600 Blaney St., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at Southwood Nursing & Retirement Center

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Dwight Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery with military honors.

Born in 1929 in Duplin County, Mr. Price was the son of the late Major Lewis and Sula Lewis Price. He was a member of the Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired salesman. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Kunkle and Olive Kennedy, and one brother, Wendell Price.

He is survived by his wife, Azilene D. Price; two sons, Eddis Clay Price and wife, Linda of Winston Salem, Jeff Price and wife, Ann of Goldsboro; four sisters, Esther Price and Grace Lancaster, both of Garner, Evelyn Shipp of Clayton and Doris Turner of Wilmington; one brother, Dennis Price of Portsmouth, Va.; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Price, Dan Price and Jonathan Price.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church and other times at his home.
