Hobbton Middle’s girls tangled with Roseboro-Salemburg Middle’s Lady Leopards Tuesday, coming away with a big 41-5 win.
Coach Parenza Best praised his team’s effort, particularly on defense. “That was the key to the game, our defense. They really hustled and I was very pleased with their effort.”
Leading the way for the Hobbton Middle girls was Nina Devane with 19 points. Also scoring was Denise Lamb with 8; Tessa Hardison, 6; McKenzie Williams, 6; and Delany Thornton, 2.
The win moves Hobbton’s record to 2-1. They play again Thursday against the Lady Spartans of Union Middle. Game time is 4 p.m.
