Psalm 27:13 says “ I had fainted, unless I had believe to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait upon the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Don’t be afraid, nor give in to what it looks like, God is still in charge. I know it’s so easy to give up right now on God and even yourself, but Jesus is about to step into your situation and show you how mighty, awesome and strong he really is. Yes God understands that you are at your end, and can’t take anymore, but that’s when he shows up and comes into your life.
When you are down to nothing, God is up to something. It might not seem like it, but trust him. David was just like us, he was human and he had his moments of wanting to “faint,” but he knew that Greater was Coming if God was in it. That’s why he said “wait” upon the Lord; he knew that God had not brought him this far to leave him now.
You are a child of the king; in fact my brothers and sisters in Christ, you and I are the “King’s Kids,” and our Father in Heaven said he will supply all our needs according to his riches and glory. How can he get the glory of our lives? He gets it by us keeping the faith in his promises even when our circumstances tells us to give up.
In the land of the living, which is this place we call earth, God desires that his people believe that his is still able in spite of what things are looking like for them. Purpose in your heart this year to “wait” on God even if your house gives up on him. You trust and believe that Jesus sees what’s happening and will hear your prayer and step in, lifting you up when you least expect it.
