On Saturday, Nov. 10, Lauren Elizabeth Daughtery became the bride of Ryan Andrew Becker. The outdoor ceremony took place at 4:30 p.m. on the lawn of Windows on the Waterway in Hilton Head, S. C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Brent Daughtery of Clinton. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Strickland Fann and the late Mr. William Cranford Fann of Clinton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Lynwood Daughtery of Smithfield.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lyle Becker of Charlotte. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Joseph Cirincione of Jamestown, N.Y., and Mrs. Beverly Lindsay Becker and the late Mr. Frank Lyle Becker also of Jamestown, N.Y.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted to the altar by her father. The bride wore a one of a kind strapless wedding gown by Anjolique. She carried a hand-tied clutch of mini white calla lilies encircled by light green garden style roses.
The altar flowers were in honor of Mr. Vincent Joseph Cirincione and in loving memory of the couple’s late grandparents.
Morgan Elizabeth Daughtery, sister of the bride was maid of honor. She wore a royal blue satin strapless dress and carried a hand-tied clutch of light green hydrangeas, light green cymbidium orchids and east coast lilies.
Bridesmaids were Savannah Fann Anders and Gina Sutton Tew, cousins of the bride, Renee Troccoli Becker, sister in law of the groom, Hannah Lynn Underwood and Michala Larsen Craven, friends of the bride. Their dresses matched the maid of honor and they also carried a hand-tied clutch of light green hydrangeas, light green cymbidium orchids and east coast lilies.
The groom had as his best man, his brother, Mr. Christopher William Becker.
Groomsmen were Andrew Patrick Heon, Joel Robert Herlocker, Luke Michael Ryba, William Joseph Kelly, Dominick Joseph Mariello, all friends of the groom.
Ushers were Matthew Wesley Sutton, cousin of the bride and William Burton Heath, friend of the bride.
Wedding musicians were: violinist, Arline Rosen and soloist, Seavy Kettrell Strickland.
Register attendants were Mr. and Mrs. James Mark Sutton, aunt and uncle of the bride.
The couple chose The Caves Resort, in Negril, Jamaica as their honeymoon destination. The couple resides in Matthews.
Reception
Immediately following the ceremony, the bride and groom’s family hosted the reception inside at Windows on the Waterway. Guests enjoyed hors d ’oeuvres and music prior to the reception where dinner was served. Special music was enjoyed by all and was provided by Alternate Take of Charlotte.
Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Celebration
Mr. and Mrs. William Lyle Becker, parents of the groom, hosted the rehearsal dinner for the couple, the wedding party, and family at Windows on the Waterway. After toasts were given to the bride and groom, guests enjoyed dinner and music. Guests also enjoyed a special video of the couple. After the rehearsal dinner all wedding guests were invited to join the wedding party for a Welcome Celebration.
Pre-Nuptial Events
In June, a surprise miscellaneous shower was given for the couple by the Becker family at the home of the groom’s parents, Bill and Mary Jo Becker.
On Sept. 29, family and friends hosted an engagement party at the home of Chris and Kim Fann, aunt and uncle of the bride.
On Sept. 30, members of Grove Park Baptist Church, family and friends hosted a miscellaneous shower for the bride.
On Oct. 5, several friends hosted a cook-out and wedding shower for the couple at Cameron Wood Country Club in Charlotte.
