Sampson Middle’s Lady Dark Horses maintained their perfect record once again this week, defeating Roseboro-Salemburg Middle 32-6.
It was, coach Jamie Harper stressed, a good game and showed the team effort that her girls always display.
“The girls did a good job all around, but I was very pleased with the way they moved the ball around to open players. I was also pleased to see a lot of girls get to score,” Harper stressed.
Mikayla Boykin lead scoring for Sampson with 14 points. Edye Carr had 10 points; Kiera Mabry, 2, Jessica Hamilton, 2, Shareeka Joyner, 2; Raven Johnson, 2; Reagan Barefoot, 1; and Miriah Boone, 1.
The Sampson team played again Thursday afternoon, but scores were not available before press time. See those results in Sunday’s Sampson Independent.
