Harry Lee Pope

SMITHFIELD — Mr. Harry Lee Pope, 68, of 9 Edgecombe Ct, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Johnston Health Center.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Epworth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dalma Cribb and Rev. Richard Weeks officiating.

Internment will follow in the Epworth Cemetery.

Mr. Pope, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Arthur Lee Pope and Lillian Marie Merritt Pope. He was a member of the Capital Area Shag Club, Harnett Shag Club, Sugarfoot Shag Club, a member of Epworth Methodist Church, and was in sales with an office supply business.

Mr. Pope is survived by his wife, Charlotte Pope of the home, two sons, Larry DeLeon Pope and Nicholas Lee Pope of Clinton, his mother, Marie Pope of Clinton, and three grandchildren, Landon, Tanner, and Bladen.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at 4974 Garland Hwy, Clinton.
