Eloise Greene

ROSEBORO —Ms. Eloise Greene, 88, of 1050 Butler Island Road, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Greene was born on May 31, 1924 in Sampson County to the late Bertus Bradshaw and Portia Lee Lockamy Greene. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Perdie Greene, Claude Greene and Allen Greene; and four sisters, Gertrude Odum, Katherine Owens, Lucy Caison and Geneva Sessoms. She was a seamstress.

She is survived by her sister, Ellen Doris West of Salemburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro.
