Carolyn Bass, 53

BENSON — Carolyn Bass, 53, of 508 Marler Road, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Betsy Johnson Medical Center in Dunn.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Old Mill Church of God on Williams Lake Road Roseboro with Pastor Jimmy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Bass was born in Sampson County in 1959 to the late Lester and Peggy Parker Bass and worked as a CNA in the healthcare field.

She is survived by sons, Robert Bass of Benson and Octaviano Ramirez of Smithfield; daughters, Rosia Casillas of Benson and Judith Gonzalez of Four Oaks; fiance, “Nacho” Gonzalez; brother, Frank Bass of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Jenny Hall of Clinton; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Hope Valley Funeral Service and other times at 508 Marler Road, Benson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope Valley Funeral Service, 1275 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, N.C. 28328 to help offset the funeral expense for the family. The Bass family has entrusted Hope Valley Funeral Service and Cremation.
