After an uninspiring first three quarters, the Hobbton Wildcats soccer team got it together and wound up beating the Trask Titians 4-1 in overtime.
The Titans scored first midway the first period when the wind got under a high kick and floated it over the keeper’s head.
The Wildcats tied the score in the second half and, according to Coach Wes Cone, “After the score, the girls doubled their effort. The game ended with a tie and we scored 3 more in overtime. Our defense played well the whole game.”
He added that he had the “highest compliments” for the Titan defense.
Scoring for the Wildcats were Marcy McLamb with 2 goals and Pamela Molina with 2 goals. Both had many assists for other’s shots.
The Wildcats, now 2-1-1, travel to Lakewood, who is undefeated, Friday night.
