CARY — Mrs. Alice Faye Tew McLamb, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at HeartFields Assisted Living and Memory Care. Born on May 15, 1937 in Sampson, County; she was the daughter of the late Felton and Betsy Naylor Tew.

Faye retired from N.C. State University as a secretary within the Fisheries and Wildlife Department after 25 plus years and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Donald McLamb; two children, Sharon Ferguson (Scotty), of Apex, Donald Wayne McLamb (Debbie), of Apex; three grandchildren, Kristie Bradley (Steve), Garrett and Mitchell Ferguson; three great-grandchildren, twins: Aaron and Alissa and Kenneth Bradley; brother, Donnie Tew (Merlene), of Sanford; and sister, Aladine Rogers (the late Paul), of Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Jackson and Zita Wilson.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 28, from 12:30 – 2 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, with services to be held at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family wishes to send special thanks to the staff at HeartFields for their loving care of Faye these past four years, as well as to the staff at Heartland Hospice.
