FAISON — Mrs. Rita Javonn Carlton, 55, of 115 Ernest Tann Lane, died Friday at Vidant Duplin Hospital. Born in Duplin County, she is the daughter of Lila Tann Faison and the late Clarence Faison.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Moses Chapel Disciple Church of Christ with bishop Chester Aycock, officiating. Burial will follow in Faison Community Cemetery.
Two children survive.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 3 -7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 - 7 p.m. and at other times at the home of Clarence and Stephanie Faison, 710 Wilmington Road, Turkey.
Garris Funeral Home is serving the family.
