CLINTON — Miss Margaret Evelyn Carter, 75, of 1991 Hobbton Hwy., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Tew officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Miss Carter, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Wade Lucian Carter and Isabel Norris Carter. She was a retired textile employee. She was predeceased by three sisters, Elsie Mae Carter, Annie Lee Carter Balance, and Gladys Carter Williamson.

She is survived by a sister, Lois Dudley Hopkins of Roseboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m., the hour prior to the service, Saturday afternoon at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at the home.
