ROSEBORO — Mr. James Elton Hudson, 80, of 409 Maple St., died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, at Wiley Autry Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating.
Mr. Hudson was born on March 26, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Hamibal and Cora Tart Hudson. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Harriet Faye Hudson. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked as a mechanic in cotton manufacturing.
He is survived by three sons, Anthony Hudson of Roseboro, Ronnie Hudson of Salemburg and Douglas Hudson of Morrisville; two sisters, Miriam Hudson of Texas and Mary Lee Worlford of Florida; one brother, Wymon Hudson of Florida; and four grandchildren, Justin Hudson, Amy Danford, Bradley Holt and Chelsea Beraldi.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
