CLINTON — Mrs. Sevie Elizabeth “Sister” Ashford, 72, 1159 Auctioneer Road, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clinton.
Mrs. Ashford is survived by her husband, Bobie Ashford of the home; two daughters, L’Tanya Arthur-Mensah of Amherst, Ohio, Itesta Fryar of Clinton; one son, James Edward Ashford of Asheville; two brothers, Eddie Lee Sampson of Clinton and Jimmy Sampson from Greensboro; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Public viewing will be Friday, Sept. 21 from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
