TURKEY — Mrs. Maggie Pauline Gavins Simmons, 53, of 105 Simpson Lane, died Saturday, Oct. 6 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12 at the Greater Six Runs Baptist Church, Turkey, with elder Thelma Waters officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton.

Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home with the family present from 6-7 p.m.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by a husband, Joe R. Simmons of the home; her mother, Eva Mae Taylor of Turkey; a daughter, Tamekea Wilkins of Kenansville; her sons, Joe J. Simmons of Raleigh, and Marcus A. Simmons of Turkey; her sisters, Albertha Brinson, Brenda Robinson and Ann Smith, all of Turkey, and Marie Kenan of Bowden; brothers, Glendale Wiggins, Michael Wiggins, Tony Wiggins and Jackie Wiggins, all of Bowden; and six grandchildren.
