Rovie L. Lambert, 80
MOUNT OLIVE — Mr. Rovie Leigh Lambert, 80, son of the late Gilbert and Ella Mae Lambert, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Lorene Barefoot Lambert and siblings, Bertha L. Hill and Atlas Lambert.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Gloria L. Herring and husband, Ricky of Meadow, Patsy L. Johnson and husband, Mark of Statesville; grandchildren, Damion Herring, Andrew Johnson and Sarah Johnson; and beloved dog, Little Bit; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at West & Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 29, with family visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided during his illness by caregiver Charlene Robinson and the Kitty Askins staff.
