WARSAW — Mrs. Mattie Mae Byrd Smith, 93, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville. Mrs. Smith was born in Sampson County to the late Edward Byrd and Arbella Pope Byrd.
The funeral will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Community Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, in Pinecrest Cemetery, Warsaw.
