CLINTON — Mr. John Thomas Brunson Jr., 56, of 196 Loop Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

John had a passion for singing as he was a part of a singing group, He was also a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan. John’s favorite pastimes were playing guitar and fishing.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at Union Star Original Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton with bishop James Leftewrige officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhills Cemetery.

Mr. Brunson leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gladys Brewington Brunson of Clinton; daughter, Tiqulia Monroe Carr of Clinton; sons, El’ DeBarge Monroe of Clinton; sisters, Katie Faulkner of Clinton, Peggy Jones of Durham; brothers, Patrick Delano Brunson of Durham, Derrick Kelly Bronson Sr. of Durham; and three grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held at Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremations on Friday, Dec. 21, from 2-6 p.m. with family present from 6-7 p.m. and other times at the home his mother at 196 Loop Road, Clinton.

The Brunson Family has entrusted services to Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation of Clinton.
