Verta C. Flowers
Mrs. Verta Mae Carr Flowers, 83, of Jamaica, N.Y., formerly of Duplin County, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Margaret Tietz Center, Jamaica, N.Y.
The funeral will be held from the New Elder’s AME Zion, Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Janice Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery, Rose Hill.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Saturday, March 9, from 10 to 11 am, one hour prior to funeral, at New Elders AME Zion Church, Magnolia.
