Joe L. Spearman

Mr. Joe L. Spearman, 75, 326 Concord Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in his home.

Mr. Spearman retired from the U S Air Force.

The funeral will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, Delway, with the Rev. Dr. A. D. Brown officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Spearman Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy B. Spearman, of the home; daughters, Kim Spearman of Holly Springs, and Mildred Spearman of Cary; sisters, Lila West, Mary Brown and Margaret Greene of Rose Hill, and Peggie Womack (James) of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, , from 5-7 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary, 431 Cumberland St., Fayetteville, and at the church from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
