Jacobs serves as Senate page

RALEIGH — Midway High school student Nathaniel Blake Jacobs recently served as a page in the North Carolina Senate. He was also selected as the “Senate Page of the Week,” by his peers.

He is the son of Conrad and Ella Jacobs of Autryville, and was sponsored as a page by N.C. Sen. Brent Jackson, R-Sampson.

Jacobs was appointed page by Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger.

Statewide high school students in grades 9-12 serve as pages when the General Assembly is in session. They perform valuable duties as pages for the senators and their office staff during their week in Raleigh. They attend daily Senate sessions, committee meetings, and they assist staff members with office duties.
