Salemburg student serves as Page

RALEIGH — Savannah Morgan Sasser, a student at Midway High School, recently served as a N.C. Senate Page. She is the daughter of David and Robin Sasser of Salemburg.

Savannah was sponsored by Sen. Rob Rabin and appointed by the Senate President Pro Tempor, Phil Berger of Rockingham County.

Statewide high school students in grades 9 through 12 serve as pages when the General Assembly is in session. They perform valuable duties for the Senators and their office staff. They attend daily Senate sessions, committee meetings, and assist staff members with office duties during the week they serve in the Legistlature.
