The 2015-2016 Miss and Mr. Warsaw Middle School was held on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. in the school gym. Addie Vasquez and Edward Marroquin, both sixth graders at WMS, were crowned as winners.

Emcee for the evening was Michael Mozingo, Curriculum Specialist at WMS and special entertainment included Dennis Walsh (Math I Teacher), Spencer Cobb (Music Teacher), the Praise Dance Team from Greater St. Luke Holy Church and Miss Sampson County Relay for Life, Catherine Smith.

Winners in the Miss Competition were: 4th runner up and Miss Congeniality — Beyonce Kisto; 3rd runner up — Whitney Carter; 2nd runner up — Jacqueline Morales; and 1st runner up — Nikya Warren. Mr. Competition 1st runner up — Esdras Marroquin.

Other contestants included Sakiyah Kenan, Carolyn Fryar, Mya Batts, Savannah Hall and Shanya Hodges.

Mr. and Miss WMS made their first appearance at the Warsaw Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 7.
