Madelyn Annette Wooten and Zachary William Prestage were united in marriage at half past four o’clock on Saturday, November 7, 2015 on Figure Eight Island in Wilmington. The Reverend Louis Ernest Strickland officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Anthony Wooten of Dunn. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Broughton Jackson, Jr. of Dunn and the late Mr. and Mrs. James McKinnon Wooten of Newton Grove. The bride is a 2011 graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is a Specialty Pharmaceutical Representative with Allergan Pharmaceuticals.

The groom is the son of Doctors Ronald William and Cynthia McLean Prestage of Camden, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Prestage of Clinton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Malcolm McLean of Charlotte. The groom is a 2011 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science. He is a Production Coordinator with Prestage Farms.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore an off white strapless sweetheart Matthew Christopher fit and flare gown. The gown glistened in pearls and was garnished with paisley pattern lace placed over dotted Swiss tulle and lined with mocha silk. Dotted Swiss covered buttons embellished the length of the chapel length train. The bride wore an off white Tori Federici two tiered waltz veil with embroidered lace. The classic round bridal bouquet of white, ivory, khaki and golden blooms were wrapped with lace from her mother’s wedding dress and adorned an heirloom brooch.

Sister of the bride, Mrs. Melissa Wooten Isenhour, from Dunn, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Lila Katherine Byrd of Wilmington, Ms. Carver Anne Morrow of Charlotte, Mrs. Kate Prestage Poplin, sister of the groom, of Cary, Ms. Stephanie Louise Smith of Raleigh, Mrs. Kelsey Donahue Stevens of Smithfield, Ms. Erin Joyce Summerlin of Raleigh and Ms. Zannah Terrell Webster of Clinton. The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore full length strapless chiffon gowns in midnight by Alfred Sung. They carried round bouquets of white, deep pink and golden blooms wrapped in gold ribbon. Honorary bridesmaids were Ms. Stephanie Lynn Hillman of Raleigh, Mrs. Bethany Oakley Jordan of Burlington, Miss Morgan Caroline Lassiter, cousin of the bride, of Four Oaks, Mrs. Meagan Jackson McKinnon of Dunn, Mrs. Caroline Lane Naylor of Clinton, and Mrs. Brooke Johnson Tart of Dunn. They wore cocktail length strapless dupioni dresses in midnight by Alfred Sung and carried a trio of deep pink blooms wrapped in gold ribbon.

Father of the groom, Doctor Ronald William Prestage from Camden, S.C, served as the groom’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Matthew David Ginthner of Wrightsville Beach, Mr. Kim Eugene Isenhour, Jr. of Dunn, Mr. John Jacob Martin of Sumter, S.C, Mr. David Russell Poplin, Jr. of Cary, Mr. Collin Denmarc Powell of Nashville, Tenn., Mr. Samuel Leslie Ramsey of Jacksonville, Mr. Jackson Ross Ward of Columbia, S.C, and Mr. Walter Thomas Webb of Raleigh. Serving as ushers were cousins of the groom, Mr. Joseph Malcolm McLean of Charlotte, Mr. John Bensley Prestage of Clinton, Mr. Max Reynolds Prestage of Clinton, Mr. William Ray Prestage of Clinton, Mr. William Scott Prestage of Clinton, and cousin of the bride, Mr. Casey Jackson Stewart of Raleigh. Master Koleden Lee Isenhour, nephew of the bride served as the ring bearer.

Music was provided by violinist Ms. Beverly Hansen Andrews of Kure Beach, and vocalists Mrs. Melissa Wooten Isenhour and cousin of the groom Miss Stephanie Kay Prestage of Clinton. Guest registry attendants were cousins of the groom Ms. Elizabeth Sinclair McLean of Charlotte and Ms. Kaylin Rose Prestage of Raleigh. Program attendants were Miss Vanna Lucille Prestage, cousin of the groom, of Clinton and Ms. Kaitlin Elizabeth Woolard of Raleigh.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dinner buffet was hosted by the bride’s parents at the Figure Eight Island Yacht Club. Greeting guests at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lee McLeod, Miss Emily Waters McLeod and Miss Faith Davis McLeod of Raleigh. The reception featured pianist, Mrs. Ann Barefoot Warren of Newton Grove and the Rubberband Band.

On the eve of the wedding at Wrightsville Beach, a bridal luncheon was held at Oceanic Restaurant hosted by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Carolyn Jackson, her aunts Mrs. Carol Lassiter and Mrs. Rebecca Stewart and her great-aunt Mrs. Patricia Parrott. A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at The Surf Club followed by an after party hosted by the Doctors Prestage, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm McLean and Mr. and Mrs. John Dobson. A Sunday brunch the morning after the wedding was hosted by Mrs. Bliss Watson and Ms. Mary Wooten at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Prestage on Figure Eight Island.

Following a wedding trip to the Exumas in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Camden, S.C.

A brunch Meet and Greet at the Coharie Country Club was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Prestage and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Prestage on January 31.

A country I Do BBQ was hosted by the bride’s parents on March 11.

An engagement celebration at the South River Cabin was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Prestage on April 18.

A lawn and deck shower was hosted by Dr. Elizabeth and Mr. Michael Hudson, Mr. and Mrs. Rickey Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McKinnon, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Warren and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Westbrook on August 9.

An engagement party at Raleigh Times was hosted by members of the wedding party on August 22.

A bachelorette trip to Folley Beach and a bachelor fishing trip to the Oregon Inlet took place the weekend of September 10.

An around the clock bridal shower was hosted by Camden friends, Mrs. Anne Marie Bolton, Ms. Casey Bolton, Mrs. Laurie Parks, Mrs. Caroline Watts, and Mrs. Sarah Williams on September 20.

A bridal shower at Mingo Baptist Church was hosted by friends and family on October 11.
