On Friday, April 22nd, Hailey Stewart was crowned Ms. Sampson Community College 2016-2017. Sponsored by the SCC Student Government Association, contestants of the SCC Pageant, “When in Rome”, competed in an interview, active wear, talent, evening gown and on-stage question during the pageant.

Conducting the pageant was Master of Ceremonies Bruce Creech, Business Department chairman, and Mistress of Ceremonies Ivy Parker, Student Government Association president. Live entertainment was provided by Creech, Marcus Highsmith and SCC student Johnathan Miller.

Stewart was also the recipient of the Best Talent award. She will receive a tuition scholarship through the Sampson Community College Foundation as well as a complimentary portrait session. Other winners that night were Meagan Sessoms, 1st runnerup and Best Personality recipient, and Lauren Ivy Weber, Best Smile recipient.
