A commercial turkey flock in Sampson County recently tested positive for High Path Avian Influenza. The announcement, released late Tuesday by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, said the discovery was made at the veterinary diagnostic lab in Raleigh.

According to the N.C. Department of Agriculture this is the second confirmed case of Bird Flu in commercial poultry so far this year. This first case was discovered in Hyde County.
