Director Linda Jewel Carr needs a couple of real live Dalmatians to complete her casting for “101 Dalmatians” and is sending out a last minute plea for anyone who owns a Dalmatian to contact her at 336-1111 as soon as possible because the show starts next Thursday and there are only a few rehearsals left.

If you know of anyone who owns a Dalmatian ask them if they would let their pet become a big hit on the big stage of the Sampson Community Theater by calling Dr. Carr at the above number today. These Dalmatians are only needed for the concluding scenes at the Dalmatian Plantation.

Watch “101 Dalmatians” come to life on the big stage of the Sampson Community Theater sponsored by Prestage Farms and a Grassroots Grant and directed by Dr. L. J. Carr and performed by two casts of Sampson County young folks. Tickets are available now at Inkspot and Matthews Gifts.

Make your plans to come out and support this great group of kids who are having a wonderful time during rehearsals singing about their favorite friends, their dogs. If you need something to make you feel good just make plans to come on down to the Sampson Community Theater. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. on June 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27, Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on June 21 and 28.

On Wednesday June 24 at 10 a.m. a special performance is planned for Summer Care Camps and pre-schools only (the public is not invited). Day Care facilities need to call the Director L.J. Carr at 336-1111 for details of this performance.

Our website is available at: www.sampsoncommunitytheatre.org and we are on Facebook but if you visit us there, we ask that you “like” us while there.

Thoughts until next week:

When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind.

Don’t regret the things you’ve done, regret the things you didn’t do when you had the chance.

The beginning of wisdom is silence. The second step is listening.
