A stolen Trump-Pence sign has brought the issuance of a reward that leads to the arrest of the thief.

The sign was reportedly taken between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday from an open land area in front of Halls Fire and Rescue on U.S. 701, just north of Keener Road. The sign was a 4-by-8 foot sign. The Sampson County Republican Party is the victim and the reporting party was Allie Ray McCullen.

McCullen told authorities that he wanted to offer a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.

Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith said the Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the larceny of the campaign sign.
