Students at L.C. Kerr began celebrating and honoring Veteran’s Day last week during a program performed by first grade students. The program was also performed for the school and fellow students.

All first grade classes researched the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance in Enrichment Lab. During the last two weeks of October, using the Super 3 research process, students have broadened their horizons. In preparation for Veteran’s Day, kindergarten and first grade students researched the meaning of patriotism.

All art classes have focused on patriotism in their art work creating flags and using the red, white, and blue theme as they created pieces of art.

All students were invited to wear red, white, and blue on Nov. 10 in observance of Veteran’s Day.

The green lights on the porch of the school are a part of showing support for veterans. Erica Faircloth, music teacher, and family decorated the porch and stage for Veteran’s Day.
