The artist reception for Grace W. Ho will be on Thursday, June 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Victor R. Small House. This reception is free and open to the public. Not only will Grace have paintings on display, but also exhibit works from her recent Master’s Thesis in Art Education. Smithfield is sponsoring this exhibit. ‘As a young child, I tripped over my first love – not the cute kid in class, or a brand new puppy. I had a major crush on art: I doodled everywhere and snuck chances to meet up with art whenever possible. Over time, my stumbling affair with drawing, painting, and looking led to the love of making, seeing, and enjoying art as I know it today. As an adult, I realize the luck in having found true love more than once. I recently made this PROMISE in art for my main muse, Ken. Work exhibited in ‘No Strings Attached’ is dedicated to loves in my life: family, friends, and art.’ For more information visit www.hoyangfineart.com or www.sampsonarts.net call the Sampson Arts Council at 910-596-2533.
