Students who are part of the 14 percent increase in summer enrollment numbers for Sampson Community College took part in orientation this week.
Over the last two summers, the college has seen a sharp increase in the number of students enrolled in classes.
According to Blair Hairr, dean of student services, the number of students who have enrolled in summer classes has increased 14 percent compared to the summer 2016 enrollment. Last summer, the college experienced an drastic increase in students who attended during the summer session, with an 80 percent increase from summer 2015.
Students this week are set to get acclimated to the college and have any questions they have answered by staff.Summer classes will begin Monday, May 22.
