‘Seussical’ curtains set to open

The “A” cast of “Seussical The Musical” is chomping at the bit to perform for you and will have their opening night this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

They have been in intense rehearsals since auditions and are now prepared to entertain you with a family-friendly show of song and dance based on the “Dr. Seuss” stories. The director has three casts for this show and each cast will perform on their own separate weekends so the Sampson Community Theater will be a busy place for the next three weekends.

This is a most colorful production including the backdrops and side panels as well as the costumes which have come from schools, churches and maybe landfills of the county thanks to the costume managers Lila Maxwell and Bettie Williams who are also members of one of the casts. We thank Performance Dodge/Ford for sponsoring this show and we urge you to get your tickets early at Inkspot or Matthew’s Gifts as we expect sellouts of some of the shows. This is one show you don’t want to miss and you have 12 chances only!

Thoughts until next week

He who lives in harmony with himself, lives in harmony with the universe.

We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they’re called memories. Some take us forward, they’re called dreams.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.
