The Sampson Community College Foundation wrapped up the fiscal year with the annual meeting of the Board of Directors.

The Foundation raised over $250,000 in contributions and awarded almost $100,000 in scholarships. Faculty and staff received 16 grants to support innovation in programming. Directors for the 2016-17 year were Frank Butler, Holden DuBose, Anne Faircloth, Roland Hall, Lorraine Moore, Gary Mac Herring, John Baxter, Deborah Hall, Annabelle Fetterman, Paul Viser, Grace Hubbard, Pat Nobles, Justin Lockamy, Bill Fulton, Lew Starling, Steve Stefanovich, Neal Strickland, Brooks Barwick, Mary B. Brown, Hugh Caison, Grover Ezzell, Sherry Matthews, Pat Green, John Prestage and John Sargent.
