With only three weeks to go before opening night for “The Odd Couple, Female Version” rehearsals are beginning to get more intense as the cast continues to try to improve their timing and keep the show moving with the witty lines of playwright Neil Simon.

The original Odd Couple had a group of guys gathering to play poker while the female version has a group of ladies gathering to play Trivial Pursuit and the hilarity continues as Lisa Cain, Gretta Steffens, Janet Rawls and Lila Maxwell use their experience to make the stage come alive while Florence Unger (Felecia Buczynski) and Olive Madison (Erica Miller) go about their shenanigans. This mature comedy is sponsored by Warrick, Bradshaw & Lockamy, P.A., Attorneys at Law and we thank them for their sponsorship. Tickets will be available at Matthew’s Gifts, at Inkspot, and at the box office when open.

Angela Martin announced that auditions for “Elf, Jr.” would be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.

Thoughts until next week

Those who are afraid of asking are ashamed of learning.

Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness.

A discussion is an exchange of knowledge; an argument is an exchange of ignorance.
