A second suspect has been charged in the robbery of a female suspect last week, Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities have reported.

Gerard Andre Parker II, 23, of 2500 Trinity Church Road, Magnolia, was charged with common law robbery, simple assault, two counts of communicating threats and second degree trespass. Bond for Parker was set at $32,000 secured, according to reports.

Parker’s is the second arrest made in the alleged robbery and assault of a female on Sept. 26.

Devante Lajuan Foster, 23, of Clinton, was charged earlier this week with common law robbery in connection with the case. His bond set at $35,000 secured.

Foster has a criminal record, while there was none found for Parker in the N.C. Department of Public Safety database.

“The victim reported she was outside of her residence when she was approached by the suspects,” Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith stated following Foster’s arrest. “The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and robbed her of cash and personal items.”

Smith noted at the time that the investigation was ongoing and more arrests were possible.
