The Clinton City Rotary Club visited Butler Avenue School and distributed more than 250 dictionaries to students in third grade.

Butler’s principal, Robert Turlington, expressed his appreciation for the donation.

“I’m thankful to the Clinton Rotary Club for all they do for our community,” Turlington said. “I especially appreciate their donation of dictionaries to all of our third graders. This is a tremendous gesture to help education and something our teachers and children look forward to every year.”

Third grade teacher Melissa Perry said her students were excited about having their own dictionary.

“My students are thrilled with having a own personal dictionary,” Perry explained. “Students will use the dictionaries to explore terms that are unfamiliar in text. They can also use the map features to enhance our cultural perspectives and awareness.”
