A Newton Grove woman has been arrested on five felony drug counts stemming from an investigation over a year ago, according to reports filed at the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

Pamela Sue Harrington, 49, of 281 Suttontown Road, Newton Grove, was charged with five counts of possession of pseudoephedrine/prior meth conviction. Harrington was reportedly arrested at her residence at 1 p.m. Tuesday and placed under $50,000 secured bond for the charges.

“She was arrested on outstanding warrants from 2014,” Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith noted of Harrington.

Her arrest report indicates that the warrants were issued in July 2014.

According to court records available through the N.C. Department of Public Safety, Harrington was previously convicted in Sampson County of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance in both 2005 and again in 2011, for which she received an active six-month prison term, records show.

Harrington was given a court date of this Friday, Aug. 14.
