The cast of “Fame” has about six more weeks of rehearsals before opening on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. for the first of six performances. With around 35 cast members each rehearsal is relatively long and tiring. Sponsored by Performance Dodge and the Sampson County Arts Council, you may obtain a ticket at Inkspot or Matthew’s Gifts.

Angela Martin will be holding our theater day camp this summer for two weeks. Space is limited so if your child (ages 5-15) wants to attend they may obtain an application by calling 910-990-4510. The camp will conclude by performing “Annie Jr.” on July 20, 21, and July 22.

The mother-daughter duo of Kathy and Sarah Day will be spreading their talents to other venues this summer. Kathy will be performing in “Church Basement Ladies” at the Temple Theater in Sanford March 8-25 while Sarah is auditioning for the Disney College Program which allows winners of auditions a summer job working at Disney World for cool, hard cash. Good luck Sarah!

Thoughts until next week

There are moments when everything goes well, but don’t be frightened.

Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.

Doth thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.
