TEACHEY — Following the February 2017 fire at its Wallace-based location, House of Raeford Farms is on track to open its new processing facility this summer.

“We have been working diligently with our partners to rebuild our operations in Wallace, and are excited to officially open our doors this summer,” said House of Raeford CEO and Owner Bob Johnson. “House of Raeford Farms is thankful for our partners, employees, farmers and our community for their support, patience and commitment to rebuilding together.”

The new plant, designed with safety and sustainability in mind, will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology. New hires will join several House of Raeford employees who will return to the Wallace location following the fire, some of whom have been with the facility since originally opening in 2006.

House of Raeford will provide details on official opening plans as soon as they are finalized.

The company is accepting applications for hourly production positions in a variety of departments. Those interested in applying should visit the website for more information, or attend the June 11 job fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 253 Butterball Road, Teachey, N.C. 28464.
