The Sampson County History Museum hosted ‘Airing of the Quilts’ quilt show this past weekend and featured more than 100 handmade quilts from around the county. Some of the quilts dated back more than 200 years and were loaned to the museum just for the event. The idea of the event was to remind guests of days gone by when quilts were hung out on a clothes line or tossed across the top of a car to ‘air’ out. -
