Small House to feature local artist

The Victor R. Small House Art Gallery will soon feature the work of a local artist.

The new gallery show and artist reception will be Sunday, July 22, from 2-4 p.m. and feature the work of Skylar Simmons. Simmons is a 2018 graduate of Clinton High School and plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University and major in art.

“This is a senior show for Skylar and we are excited to exhibit her work,” Kara Donatelli, Sampson Arts Council director, said. “She has attended art classes and art camps at the Sampson Arts Council throughout the years and is an extremely talented artist.”

The gallery show is titled “Tempus Fugit”, a latin phrase which translates to “Time Flies”.

The art will be on display and featured from July 22 – Aug. 23.
