Since the inception of Business Showcase, one of the highlights of the event has been the Business Showcase Luncheon, which features a keynote speaker of regional or national acclaim.

This event provides attendees from area businesses, industry and governmental organizations with insight into current trends, challenges and opportunities as related to business in North Carolina.

The Sampson County Exposition Center and the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce that the 2015 Business Showcase Luncheon keynote address will be delivered by Nathan Babcock, Political Director of the North Carolina Chamber.

Babcock will speak on the state of business in North Carolina. A few topics Babcock will address include key pieces of recent legislation and their impact and importance to North Carolina businesses. He will also offer insight and discussion pertaining to the myths about business in North Carolina and the reality of how great things are going for North Carolina businesses.

In his role as Political Director, Babcock advises the North Carolina Chamber’s political action and independent expenditure committees; as well as the NC Chamber member companies who are engaged in the NC Chamber’s political action programs.

Babcock received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before coming to the North Carolina Chamber in April of 2012, Babcock’s served as both Field Director and Political Director for the North Carolina Republican Senate Caucus. His other work experiences include serving as Base Administrator for the Christ for the City International in Managua, Nicaragua and Camp Director of the Global Outreach Mission in Orosi, Costa Rica. In addition he has served as both Tech Support Specialist and Competitive Intelligence Analyst for Blackbaud in Charleston, S.C.

The event will feature a catered luncheon which will be held in Heritage Hall of the Sampson County Exposition Center located at 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton. The luncheon will begin promptly at noon. (Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.) Ticket prices for the luncheon are $20 for members of the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce and $22 for non-Chamber members. The Business Showcase Luncheon is a ticketed event and tickets are only available in advance. Tickets are not available at the door. Seating is limited so please make your reservations early.
