Pizza Hut of Clinton was recently bestowed the Mayor’s Community Appearance Award for additions and renovations the company completed at its 129 Southeast Blvd. location. The original Pizza Hut was built in 1977 and served Clinton for nearly 40 years. An four-month overhaul saw the building gutted, renovated and expanded, with doors opened to the public Sept. 1. ‘We appreciate their longtime service in Clinton and their willingness to continue to invest in our wonderful city,’ Mayor Lew Starling stated. Store manager Samuel Smiles said the renovation provided a ‘much-needed change’ for Clinton. ‘I have seen a great turnout from customers, existing and new,’ Smiles stated. ‘It is fantastic that the city is recognizing the change of Pizza Hut. We are thankful.’
