SCC students having a cow

By Dan Grubb - SCC

CLINTON — Continuing its commitment to hands-on training, Sampson Community College took a field trip — literally.

Students in the Beef Production class visited a local beef farm last week to practice pregnancy tests on cows. Students, who are part of SCC’s Animal Science program, were able to determine if cows were pregnant and in some cases actually handle an unborn calf.

Those interested in the Animal Science program should contact Chet Bass at 910-900-4027.
