Sampson sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect believed to have caused a disturbance at Hollerin Haunts on Bud Johnson Road in the northern part of the county.

Specifically, Sheriff’s Capt. Marcus Smith said, officers are seeking video footage that may be available to assist in the probe.

The incident occurred on Saturday, Oct. 4.

On that day, deputies responded to a disturbance call at the entertainment venue, discovering that a white male, age 38, was reportedly intoxicated and making inappropriate statements to juveniles at the location.

During the investigation, Smith said, it was also discovered that there could be more individuals who may have encountered or interacted with the suspect.

No one else has come forward at this time, he said.

Officers are hoping their plea for assistance might lead to others notifying them of an encounter with the suspect.

“It is important to note,” Smith said in a release issued to The Independent, “that the suspect was not an employee of the business and all the staff/owners of the location have been actively involved in helping in the investigation.”
