Two Clinton men were taken into custody Saturday, charged in connection with a break-in at a local restaurant just one day before.
Raymond Marshall Dyal Jr., 25, of 101 W. Butler Ave., Clinton, and Bryant Douglas Carr, 22, of 203 Weeks St., Clinton were jailed without bond, both charged with felony breaking and entering, felony conspiracy and misdemeanor injury to real property.
Clinton Police Chief Adrian Mathews confirmed tonight that the pair were charged in connection with the Friday break-in of Southern Style Barbecue & Fried Chicken, 338 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
A social media post shared by Southern Style owners Friday sought the public’s help in finding two men who attempted to “break the door down” to get in.
The tongue-in-cheek post alleged that the business’ chicken is so good “we have people trying to break the door down to get it, literally.”
It was the photographs, taken from store video, Mathews said, that led officers to the two suspects.
Both were arrested Saturday and taken to the Sampson County Detention Center. They are currently in jail without bond.
